MOSIS looks for support for the proposals originated in house and responds to external initiatives through competitions, grants and commissions.

In 2009 and 2010, MOSIS has been functioning mainly with government funds awarded through competitions grants. Even With the critical economical situation and our recent constitution in 2008, we have been able to maintain activities in the last two years. MOSIS received one grant in 2009 and two grants in 2010 from the Ministry of Culture. The economical situation right now in Spain is such that the budget that often goes to Culture is being use for social services. Culture has this year around 20% of what it use to have.

Regarding commissions, approved projects get unrealized for lack of funds. This happened to us in 2009 with a project from the Consejeria de Turismo y Cultura (Culture and Tourism advisory at Murcia) Urban Analysis and Proposal for the city beach Manga del Mar Menor, Murcia.
