HELPING GALLERIES IS NOT A WAY OF SUPPORTING ART

In opposition to the rulings that respect cultural diversity, the funds for the Promotion of Contemporary Spanish Art offered by the ministry in 2014 excluded artists, collectives, cultural associations and foundations, and instead recognized art galleries as the sole beneficiary. This year the Ministry for Education, Culture and Sport released the Grants for the Promotion [...]

Legalize Short Rentals in Private Residences in the World

On short rentals: Scale matters, legalize home sharing, penalize residential buildings run as hotels in New York.

There is a fight on home rentals in New York, the whole issue have been framing in different ways, yesterday January 20, 214 was the City Hall, “the Committee on Housing and Buildings. Oversight: Short Term Rentals- Stimulating the Economy or Destabilizing Neighborhoods?”

The big changes in a neighborhood happen with the city’s big re-zoning not with a few residents renting their apartments for a week a month. There is a difference between survival/business and between resident’s rental or hosting/ commercial rental or agent.

Don´t consume public space. Don´t use restaurant and bars in the street.

The idea of this song is that who ever read it find local musicians playing in the plazas of the world (where people use to play now cover with bar and restaurants) and tell the musicians to play and sing this song.

Buenas intenciones

I don´t care too much for money, money can´t buy me Cooper Union

That money cannot buy everything was exactly the spirit of the 2005´s protest. The School of Architecture was turning to be more functional (what proof to be dysfunctional) and less of a visionary place. It was clear to all the protesting students and I that the existence of Cooper was a triumph over market economy, not everything can be measured by money and money cannot buy it all.
I agree with having free education and education being a human right but thinking about the numbers, thirty undergraduates selected per year, per school, one sees that Cooper Union wasn´t solving the problem of free education as much as positioning resistance. Cooper Union was about free spirits, about democracy and equality. Cooper Union was saying: rich cannot buy their way in here.

Regarding NYFA:The Profitable Artist

To give artists a recipe for getting money for their work instead of trying to change the art’s structure is a form of scam for artists.

The Bill of Stupidity

Although nobody would like to be perceived as stupid, being stupid releases one from being thoughtful and correcting mistakes. In reality, stupidity is a deviation from what is ethical and lawful. The “ We just don’t paid, we will go on default” is against the spirit of the United States Constitution. There is no bill of stupidity in the constitution.
