Buenas intenciones

Los autores y/o artistas de principios del siglo XX tuvieron durante parte de sus vidas una profesión muy peligrosa, o al contrario nunca abandonaron su despacho. Conrad contra Kafka. Los artistas de finales del siglo XX atacaron su cuerpo y los artistas del siglo XXI tienen muy buenas intenciones.

La burocracia, proceso sin direccion

Dice Sergio Tombesi, economista, “En nuestro sistema capitalista, el gobierno actual no sólo no cumple la función estabilizadora de compensar cuando hay un desequilibrio sino que además se ocupa en incrementar los obstáculos para impedir que el movimiento se dé. Es lo peor del capitalismo, el gobierno no interviene para evitar desastres y lo peor del libre mercado, el gobierno obstaculiza el flujo libre con una burocracia interminable”. No hay dirección ni orden solo hay proceso. Es la burocratización, el bloqueo sistemático y sin sentido. Pero el origen del gobierno, (presente en su etimología “gobierno” del griego kibermetes= piloto de nave) es la de dar una dirección, pilotar.

I don´t care too much for money, money can´t buy me Cooper Union

That money cannot buy everything was exactly the spirit of the 2005´s protest. The School of Architecture was turning to be more functional (what proof to be dysfunctional) and less of a visionary place. It was clear to all the protesting students and I that the existence of Cooper was a triumph over market economy, not everything can be measured by money and money cannot buy it all.
I agree with having free education and education being a human right but thinking about the numbers, thirty undergraduates selected per year, per school, one sees that Cooper Union wasn´t solving the problem of free education as much as positioning resistance. Cooper Union was about free spirits, about democracy and equality. Cooper Union was saying: rich cannot buy their way in here.
